After returning from an inspiring week at PASIC 09, I decided to sit down with a long-time friend for a conversation. Patrick Schleker, Principal Timpanist for the Cincinnati Orchestra, recently presented at PASIC and many of the ideas from his masterclass easily transfer outside of orchestral timpani performance.
